About the Program
This add on program describes the skills and knowledge required to expose, assess and examine a panoramic image. The program includes the preparation of the patient for dental radiography, the selection of equipment requirements, positioning of the patient to obtain the image, positioning of the radiographic film/sensor and operating radiographic imagining equipment safely to produce an image. The course if recognized and accredited by the EPA South Australia and the Dental Board of Australia. The course does not cover panoramic radiodiagnosis. CPD Value: 25 Hours Clinical/Scientific
What You’ll Learn
What you need to be involved in this program:
For Dental Practitioners: you must hold a current Intra Oral Licence.
For Dental Assistants: this course is part of the Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Dental Radiography Skills Set), it is important that you have a current Intra Oral Licence.
Successful completion of the Panoramic course will be dependant upon successful completion of the Intra-Oral component of Certificate IV
