Following her own cancer battle and personal suffering from mucositis, Dental Hygienist Julie Roberts will empower you to help others.
Please join us for this free one-hour webinar on mucositis during cancer therapy.
Julie Roberts is an original Gillies Plains graduate. She has practiced in all areas of dental hygiene, including the SA Cranio Facial Unit, and is presently working in Orthodontics in Qld.
Julie was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2011, resulting in bilateral mastectomies, reconstruction surgery, and 6.5 months of chemotherapy. As a result of the chemo treatment, she suffered with mucositis, hence her interest and motivation to get the information out to my fellow practitioners.
About the presentation:
Oral mucositis is defined as an inflammation of the oral mucosa resulting from cancer therapy, typically manifesting as atrophy, swelling, erythema and ulceration. The aim of the presentation is to raise awareness among dental hygienists and OHT’s of mucositis, and possible treatments and support the dental team can offer.
**Note: Webinar login details will be sent to attendees via email 48 hours prior to the event. Please ensure your email is entered correctly when registering.**
