DHAA WA – End of Year Celebration with Guest Speaker

Come and celebrate the end of 2018 with friends and colleagues at The George Function Centre where there will be a guest speaker with 2 CPD hours and an after party on the courtyard.

Speaker presentation will commence at 2.45 and finish at 4.45pm with drinks and canapes from 5-7 pm

Dietary/catering options will be considered for those with special diets.

Autism spectrum disorder with a dental lens

Joanna Granich, Clinical Trials Coordinator (Telethon speech and hearing)

Joanna is a child health researcher focused on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at the Telethon Kids Institute located at the new Perth Children’s Hospital. She is also a sessional registered dental therapist in a private practice in Carine. At an entrepreneurial level, as the director of two early stage digital health start-ups, AutiSense and Salutem Analytics, her work is focused on improving health outcomes for paediatric and adult patients.

Joanna has over 10 years’ experience in academic research and is an adjunct research fellow at the University of Western Australia. She has several peer-reviewed publications and extensive experience in project coordination and evaluation of public health and clinical interventions. Joanna is passionate about autism research and social enterprise that can make a difference to people’s health and lives especially those affected by life-long disabilities.

Mental Health for Dental Health

Donna Lawrence (Clinical Psychologist) St Johns Ambulance

Donna is a Clinical Psychologist and leads the Wellbeing and Support service at St John Ambulance WA (Ltd). Donna’s experience in mental health leadership includes service development and implementation, and she has worked in a range of sectors including tertiary care, community services and disability. Donna is passionate about mental health prevention and early intervention and strives to provide initiatives that keeps people mentally well and thriving. Donna continues to practice as a Clinical Psychologist and specialises in working with people across the lifespan who have experienced trauma and abuse. In her spare time Donna enjoys pilates, travelling, cooking and eating good food!


DHAA Event Regulations
DHAA Members: To obtain the discounted DHAA Ltd Membership price you are required to be a financial member of the DHAA Ltd on the date of purchase.

Student Members: Student Members must be an eligible and current student member of the DHAA Ltd at the time of purchasing the ticket. DHAA Student Membership is free and expires on 30 June of the year following your graduation.

Cancellation Policy: 10 days notice must be given in writing to [email protected], if you cannot attend, to receive a refund. Reimbursements will not be made after this time. Registration can be transferred to another person of the same membership status.

Photography:The DHAA reserve the right to take photographs and videos for publicity, illustration, advertising, web content and reports on events and symposia. These images will not be shared directly with any other business without prior consent.
