DHAA VIC Pharmacology update – Medications in everyday practice

Presentation Synopsis
Always a popular event in the Victorian CPD calendar, the dinner meeting returns this year with new updates on pharmacology. The dinner meeting is proudly sponsored by Orien. Come join us for a pub meal and glass of wine whilst you collect CPD hours and be updated on common medications impacting on our everyday clinical practice!

Topics for the presentation include:
Brands vs Generic medication
Indication and timing of medicines
Medication information
Adverse reactions of medicines, oral manifestations
Complimentary medicines that increase risk of bleeding
Poly pharmacy
Pain relief (including opioids), immunosuppressants, and hypertension

Registration and welcome drink : 6.00-6:30pm
Lecture Part 1: 6:30 -7:30pm
Main course: 7:30-8:00pm
Lecture Part 2, Questions and Dessert: 8:00pm

CPD hours: 1.5 hours (scientific)

About the Speaker
Michael Jovanovic

Michael Jovanovic graduated from the Victorian College of Pharmacy in 2011 before undergoing his internship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He has worked as a pharmacist at St Vincent’s for 6 years and was the resident Pharmacist at the Royal Dental Hospital, Melbourne. Michael has special interests in oral medicine and infectious diseases.

Student Members: Student Members must be an eligible and current student member of the DHAA Ltd at the time of purchasing the ticket. DHAA Student Membership is free and expires on 30 June of the year following your graduation.

Cancellation Policy: 10 days notice must be given in writing to [email protected], if you cannot attend, to receive a refund. Reimbursements will not be made after this time. Registration can be transferred to another person of the same membership status.
