DHAA QLD: Debriding in the Fast Lane – Rapid with Efficiency

July 15, 2017 @ 09:00 - 12:00

Carol Tran will present an update on Ultrasonics and Air Polishing.

Modern debridement methods for clinical practice often involve the use of ultrasonics, hand instruments and prophylaxis with a polishing paste. This program will focus on discussing the materials you can use, how and when to maximise the most modern clinical techniques while being effective for your practice.

Confirmed Speaker
Carol Tran – BOH (Melb), PhD candidate (UQ)
Carol graduated from the University of Melbourne and has been in practice since 2009. She is an Oral Health Therapist with extensive clinical, teaching and research experience. Carol is currently working general practice and has worked across public, private, general and specialist practice. She was also a former Lecturer in the BOH and BDSc program at the University of Queensland.
In her spare time she’s also enrolled in a PhD funded by the NH&MRC at the University of Queensland. Her topic will examine the effects of differently cleaning methods on implant surfaces.
