DHAA Symposium 2015

Sydney | 5-7 November, 2015

THE VENUE
The 2015 event was held at The Star – Sydney’s 5 Star Hotel & Premier Entertainment Destination.

This was a fantastic setting for our conference. Making the most of stunning views of the harbour and city, The Star boasts two of the best Sydney hotels, penthouses, serviced apartments, over 20 Sydney restaurants, bars and cafés as well as a luxury 16-room day spa, events and entertainment centre and upscale retail and casino areas.

As part of an $870-million redevelopment, The Star features a new Event Centre that can cater to international performers, intimate concerts, corporate conferences, exhibitions and 900-seat banquet functions.

THE THEME
The 2015 theme was "Under one Umbrella". It was chosen due to the overwhelming and increasing body of evidence linking systemic and oral conditions, which we would like to continue to explore.

This, in turn, opens the opportunities for preventive dental professionals to advise and learn from an expanding group of other health professionals.

In times of economic and legislative change to the dental profession, we need to become adaptable and recognise changes that need to be made to connect those of greatest need to preventive services.

THE PROGRAM
The program ran over three days and a total of 19 CPD hours were available.

Additional clinical/scientific CPD hours were available for elective workshop attendance.
