[two_fifth] [responsive]DHAA Tasmania Director Danielle Gibbons[/responsive] [/two_fifth] [three_fifth_last] Danielle graduated from Tafe SA Gilles Plains in 2008 with an Advanced Diploma in Oral Health. After graduating Danielle moved to Devonport Tasmania to be the first private practicing dental hygienist in Devonport. Eight years later Danielle has worked in both Devonport and Launceston in general practices, one with a special interest in orthodontics.

Since graduating Danielle has been apart of the DHAA Tasmanian Branch as an active member but also Vice President for two consecutive terms from 2008 to 2012 before being elected as President from 2012 to 2014.

Being passionate about oral health promotion and oral health initiatives within communities Danielle has volunteered in several programs such as the National Dental foundation and with numerous community groups within Tasmania. This is what has encouraged her to begin a Masters in Public Health in 2015 at the University of Tasmania.

Since graduating Danielle has been apart of the DHAA Tasmanian Branch as an active member but also Vice President for two consecutive terms from 2008 to 2012 before being elected as President from 2012 to 2014. During this time she has accomplished numerous successful state based CPD events and an ongoing perio study club with our local periodontist. Since becoming Tasmania’s Director on the board Danielle has taken on the role of along side ACT and NSW directors on the National Social Media Team. Along with this she has seen Tasmania win the bid for 2016 National Symposium which she is heading the event organisation. She can be often found at numerous interstate DHAA events and is always eager to have a chat with members.
