Join us for an exciting full day CPD event at O'Leary Walker Wines in the Clare Valley.

 

Our day will start at 9am with Dr Paul Sambrook from the leading international Dental Surgeon, presenting on virtual planning of dental treatments. He will follow on with a thorough update on the latest developments in pain management, bleeding control and medication.

Shamus Breen the Managing Director from DHAA's Indemnity Provider BMS Group will cover the in's and out's of record keeping to help us preventatively protect ourselves should ever experience a claim relating to our indemnity insurance.

For those who are looking to relax and unwind after long days of clinical work, Sabine Toh will be drawing on both western and eastern science to present a hands on scientific approach to self care and awareness.

Lastly to finish off a long day of learning from 4pm, celebrity winemaker David O’Leary giving us some tips to appreciate the great South Australian wines.

Dr Paul Sambrook

M.B.B.S., M.D.S., F.R.A.C.D.S., (OMS)

Dr Paul Sambrook is Head of Discipline Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Faculty of Health Sciences, The University of Adelaide and Head of Unit Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and South Australian Dental Service. Dr Sambrook is a council member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, is currently Vice President of the International Board for the Certificate of Specialists in OMS and was past President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr Sambrook is the Director of Training for oral and maxillofacial surgery for South Australia.

Sabine Toh

Sabine has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biochemistry/ Immunology and is currently doing a PhD in sleep research in the context of how breathing affects our autonomic nervous system and hence sleep onset and duration. She is drawing on her 20-year experience as a yogi and yoga & world-wide meditation teacher. Additionally, Sabine is a hypnotherapist and master practitioner of neuro linguistic programming (NLP). She draws on both Western and Eastern science and helps people at retreats, seminars & private sessions to find greater balance in life through release of trauma/stress/ old belief patterns and she teaches women in particular how to be empowered, how to regain balance, psychologically and physiologically using NLP, hypnosis, breathwork, meditation, mindset techniques personally tailored for ease and lifestyle fit. This can lead to better digestion, sleep, weight management and an overall increase in energy and joy in life. In her seminars you'll learn about epigenetics, neuro-plasticity and how we self-hypnotize - and how to start affecting & directing these according to your will.

Sabine is a mother of 3 and highly experienced at reaching audiences from all walks of life, making sessions joyful and educational, with many tools to take away and enjoy thereafter.

You can still attend our events by creating a purchase account at the link above. This will be a non-member account where you can register for events and track your event registrations. It does not allow you access to member benefits or the members portal, these are only accessible by joining as a DHAA member.

  • DHAA Event Regulations

    • DHAA Members - To obtain the discounted DHAA Ltd Membership price you are required to be a financial member of the DHAA Ltd at the time of the event.

      Student Members - Student Members must be an eligible and current student member of the DHAA Ltd at the time of the event Student Membership expires June 30th following your graduation. Student Membership to the DHAA Ltd is Free.

      ADOHTA Members - All ADOHTA members are required to show proof of membership to ADOHTA. You are required to be a current member at the time of the event to either DHAA Ltd or ADOHTA inc. To access the discounted price please create an account and email proof of current membership to [email protected]. We will update your account to display the correct registration price for the duration of the membership period displayed in your proof of membership.

      Dietary Requirements - We will attempt to accommodate all dietary requirements. Please ensure you specify any dietary restrictions when registering and at least seven (7) days prior to the event so we can notify the event catering team. 

      Photography Policy - The DHAA reserve the right to take photographs and videos for publicity, illustration, advertising, web content and reports on events and symposia. These images will not be shared directly with any other business without prior consent. If you would prefer your image NOT be used, then please notify us in advance, in writing, of the event that you are attending to [email protected]

      Event Cancellation Policy

      If you are cancelling your registration to attend an event please contact us at [email protected]

      If notification is received:

      More than 5 working days before the event:

      - A partial refund less a cancellation fee of 10% of the registration fee will be given.

      Less than 5 working days before the event:

      - Event registration fees will not be refunded 5 working days from the event as catering will have been finalised and therefore incurred non-refundable costs to the DHAA.

      Alternatively, the event registration may be transferred to another person of the same DHAA membership status up to 24 hours prior to the event - please contact [email protected] to arrange a transfer.

      Non Attendance
      If a registered attendee fails to attend an event for which they have registered, the event registration fees will not be refunded.

      - The event will be fully COVID-safe and compliant above and beyond any basic government health requirements to do what we reasonably can to protect your health and safety and that of all attendees. That will include appropriate social distancing and other measures.
