ACT - GC Hands-on Workshops

DHAA ACT invites you to join us for hands-on workshops with GC - workshops on offer are 'Fibre Reinforced Composite Resins' and 'Surface Protection'.

 

Workshops are limited to 20 participants so register today before tickets are gone.

You can choose to attend one or both workshops, please ensure after clicking 'Register' you scroll down the page, add the workshop/s you would like to attend and then check out. The workshop/s you have selected will be listed on your order confirmation.

Surface Protection: 9am - 12pm

Don't just 'Watch it' - 'Protect it'

The course will provide clinical information on material selection options and placement techniques for protecting vulnerable tooth surfaces including:

  • Erupting molars
  • Exposed root surfaces
  • Around orthodontic brackets

Increase your scope of practice whilst delivering better oral health outcomes for your patient. Through this presentation you will learn how to protect erupting molars, exposed root surfaces and enamel around orthodontic brackets using Fuji and MI varnish. These products and techniques when adopted have the potential to create new business and encourage recall appointments.

Fibre Reinforced Composite: resin splints, retainers & bridges - : 1pm - 4pm

This course will provide clinical information and a 'hands-on' experience with resin impregnated fibre reinforced materials combined with a range of aesthetic and high strength composite resins. Techniques for creating aesthetic anterior fibre reinforced bridges will be discussed and demonstrated as well as the use of these bridges for splinting mobile teeth and fixed ortho retainers. Participants will be able to experience using the fibres.

Topics include:

  • Fibre reinforced composites - material types and indications for use
  • Case selection, treatment options and clinical techniques
  • Using aesthetic composites and layering anterior fibre reinforced bridges
  • Hands on construction techniques for a Perio splint and an anterior bridge only
  • Longevity and maintenance

Please note if choosing to attend both GC workshops there is no lunch provided as they are seperate workshops. Please ensure you have made arrangements for lunch.

Your Trainer: Paulette Smith

Paulette graduated from the University of Adelaide in Dental Therapy and has spent over 12 years in both private practice and the public sector, with a focus on preventative dentistry and oral health education. Paulette joined GC Australasia Dental over 10 years ago in a sales and clinical education training role including facilitating hands on workshops. She has also been fortunate to participate in several international hands on courses focusing on aesthetic restorative dentistry and fibre technology.

You can still attend our events by creating a purchase account at the link above. This will be a non-member account where you can register for events and track your event registrations. It does not allow you access to member benefits or the members portal, these are only accessible by joining as a DHAA member.

DHAA Event Regulations:

DHAA Members - To obtain the discounted DHAA Ltd Membership price you are required to be a financial member of the DHAA Ltd at the time of the event.

Student Members - Student Members must be an eligible and current student member of the DHAA Ltd at the time of the event Student Membership expires June 30th following your graduation. Student Membership to the DHAA Ltd is Free.

ADOHTA Members - All ADOHTA members are required to show proof of membership to ADOHTA. You are required to be a current member at the time of the event to either DHAA Ltd or ADOHTA inc.

Dietary Requirements - We will attempt to accommodate all dietary requirements. Please ensure you specify any dietary restrictions when registering and at least seven (7) days prior to the event so we can notify the event catering team.

 Photography Policy - The DHAA reserve the right to take photographs and videos for publicity, illustration, advertising, web content and reports on events and symposia. These images will not be shared directly with any other business without prior consent. If you would prefer your image NOT be used, then please notify us in advance, in writing, of the event that you are attending to [email protected]

Event Cancellation Policy

If you are cancelling your registration to attend an event please contact us at [email protected]

If notification is received:

More than 5 working days before the event:

- A partial refund less a cancellation fee of 10% of the registration fee will be given.

Less than 5 working days before the event:

- Event registration fees will not be refunded 5 working days from the event as catering will have been finalised and therefore incurred non-refundable costs to the DHAA.

Alternatively, the event registration may be transferred to another person of the same DHAA membership status up to 24 hours prior to the event - please contact [email protected] to arrange a transfer.

Non Attendance
If a registered attendee fails to attend an event for which they have registered, the event registration fees will not be refunded.

COVID-safe and booking with confidence
We know that the world has changed and there is always going to be uncertainty around events in the age of a pandemic, so here is our approach to making this work:

- The event will be fully COVID-safe and compliant above and beyond any basic government health requirements to do what we reasonably can to protect your health and safety and that of all attendees. That will include appropriate social distancing and other measures.
- COVID event cancellation: if the event is cancelled or has to be moved due to COVID issues, we will offer you a full refund. - If you’re unwell please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.
