Webinar - Communicating for Consent

Join us for a 1 hour online webinar to help communicate with patients regarding informed consent.


To be done well, consent is so much more than a signature on a form. In this lecture, you will learn practical skills in communication to ensure that you and your patient are aligned, and your consent is robust.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Identify the building blocks of consent
  • Craft a message that will be understood and remembered
  • Demonstrate that you have listened to your patient
  • Create records that stand up to scrutiny

Dr Elizabeth Milford

Dr Elizabeth Milford is a thought leader in the area of patient centred care and clinical communication. By integrating her experiences in the corporate world with lessons from mentoring dental practitioners for over 20 years, she brings a unique perspective to clinical practice.  Dr Milford is a lecturer, a professional mentor, and the Professional and Academic Relations Consultant to Oral-B Australia and New Zealand.

DHAA Members: Webinar registration is free for all categories of DHAA membership. 
Non members: registration is available for non members at a cost of $40 per attendee.
