Webinar - What Drives Your Patients?
Join us for a 1 hour online webinar looking at the driving force for our patients and how we can create sustainable motivation.
Daily oral hygiene measures at home play a vital role in the prevention of oral disease. However, from research and clinical experience, we know that a considerable proportion of patients are not following the advice given to them and seem to lack knowledge concerning the aeitology and prevention of caries and periodontal disease.
So how do we get our patients interested in their oral health and how do we get them to clean the oh-so-important in-betweens? It's all about "motivation 3.0" and finding that intrinsic motivation. In this lecture you'll get acquainted with the self-determination theory and learn more about motivation that matters.
- Be familiar with different types of motivation and the psychological needs that support sustainable motivation
- To understand the importance of patients taking an active role in their treatment to achieve success
- Know about simple communication tools to enhance patient adherence
