Impacted teeth can cause considerable issues for mastication as well as aesthetic issues for children and young adults. It remains one of the most common yet less understood aspects in the developing dentition.
Steps to reveal hidden impactions and to prevent the development of unnecessary impactions will be discussed. Innovative approaches to avoid and resolve impactions will be followed through clinical scenarios and cases studies.

About Our Speakers:
Dr Elizabeth Milford
Dr Elizabeth Milford is a national speaker and mentor. She is committed to helping dental clinicians translate the latest oral health and prevention research into clinical practice. Dr Milford lectures with the University of Melbourne, is a volunteer at the Royal Flying Doctors Queensland, and is the Professional and Scientific Relations Consultant for Oral-B ANZ.
Dr Chelsea Mann
BDS, BScDent(Hons) DClinDent(Ortho) MRACDS(Ortho)
Chelsea is a specialist orthodontist involved with multidisciplinary treatment care. She was conferred her undergraduate dentistry and first class honours degrees at the University of Adelaide, being awarded the prestigious University Medal. After practicing general dentistry, she completed her specialist orthodontic training at the University of Sydney. She has been involved with dental education at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including a period teaching orthodontics to registered dentists at the Sydney Dental Hospital. Her publications are featured in peer-reviewed international journals including the Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Dental Research, Progress in Orthodontics and American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics as well as featured on Australian news, CNN in USA and Bite magazine.
Dr Julian Oronos
Julian grew up and studied in Cairns, graduating from James Cook University in 2018. He moved to Canberra in 2020 to escape the humidity and has been working as a TMJ Dental Clinician at TMJ Clinics (Deakin) since moving to Canberra, trained by A/Prof Dylan Hyam and Dr Samuel Kim (OMFS). He also works at Preventive Dentistry (Braddon) as a general dentist.
Isabel Reeves
Isabel is a registered nurse and Credentialed Diabetes Educator. Isabel works privately in Canberra where is is the sole proprietor and educator at InRange Diabetes, specialising in type 1 diabetes and supporting these individuals and their families to manage their condition well. Isabel also works at Queanbeyan hospital where she can see NSW residents and support them with their diabetes. At Queanbeyan, Isabel sees all clients with diabetes. Isabel's aim is to support her clients from a holistic perspective and give them the tools they need or the support they need to live life to the fullest with their diabetes along for the ride.
