The DHAA strives to work for the continuing development of oral health professionals and preventive models of care. We want to provide you with the best personal member experience by providing discounted CPD, IR access, advocacy, collaboration and transparent communication.

To make your experience on our website and using our services easier we have put together some common questions and their answers below. 

• I can't log into my member profile
  • There can be a number of reasons you are having trouble logging into your member account.
    
    - First check you are entering your username correctly. By default your username is set up as your email address however if you are unsure what your username is please contact us.
    You can set up a new password :
    
    1. Click 'Member Portal' on the main navigation bar. You can also go directly to the member portal by heading to www.dhaa.info/portal
    
    2. Once you are on the member portal you will be prompted to log in, please click 'Forgot my password'.
    
    3. Enter your email address in the username box and press 'Submit'. This will email you a link to reset your password. Please note this email link will expire 20mins after being sent so please check your junk mail/ spam if it does not come to your inbox. If you have any difficulties with this please contact us and we will help.

• I am locked out of my member profile
  • If you have entered your username or password incorrectly too many times you may become locked out of your account as a security measure. We can unlock your account quite easily so you can log back in if you email us (remember to include the name your membership is under so we can assist with unlocking your account).
    
    
• Why am I not receiving emails?
  • There are a number of reasons you may not be receiving our emails, and most of these are outside of our control. I have complied a list of the most common reasons here so you can try to assess why you may be having difficulties.
    
    1. Is your email address listed correctly in your member profile?
    If your email address is an old email that you no longer use, or is spelt incorrectly then you will be unable to receive emails. To check this please log in to your member portal and review your details under 'My Profile'
    
    2. Are emails being filtered to your junk/ spam folders?
    Unfortunately some email services incorrectly filter emails into spam/ junk mail and this is something that we have no control over. There are however ways you can try to correct this:
    - Review your junk/ spam folder and if you find any DHAA emails in there then 'Mark as not spam' if you have this option. - Add our DHAA email addresses to your email contact lists, this helps tell your email service that these are important emails from people you know. The emails we will contact you from most frequently are [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected]
    
    If you want to review all emails we have sent, you can do this by logging into your member portal (if you are having trouble with this please see above) and going to your email preferences tab in your profile. In this area you can view and even send yourself another copy of the email to test if it is sending.
    If none of these options work please contact us and we will help you try to troubleshoot further. As we are aware some members are having problems and this is a very stressful time we are also uploading email content into our member portal news area.
    
    
• How do I renew my membership?
  • 1. When logged in head to ‘My Membership’ and ‘My Profile’ on the menu bar.
       
       
    2. There should be a ‘Renew Now’ button at the top of your profile. If you cannot see the renew now button click the shopping cart on the top right hand side and remove any invoices in the cart before returning to your profile.
       
       
    3. On the next screen you will be shown your membership options. If you would like to join the DHAA Aged Care chapter select this to add to your membership. If you would like to renew DHAA Member Insurance, instructions will be provided once you have renewed your membership.
       
       • Once you have selected your choices click 'Update Cart' and you will be taken to a page showing your invoice. 

         Any additional items you have added (Aged Care Chapter or Indemnity Insurance) will show as an adjustment and the ‘Transaction Grand Total’ in purple should correctly reflect your choices. If it does not, remove the invoices and go back to your profile starting again from step 3.
         
         
       • Enter your payment details and click ‘Submit Order’ and will be emailed an order confirmation.

         While you are logged in it is a good idea to review your profile and update your personal details in the ‘About Me’ tab as well as any ‘Employment’ details for our ‘Find an Oral Health Professional’ page.
• How do I register for an event?
  • Remember, when you visit our site; log in. Once logged in you will be able to access our member portal full of exclusive member content and information for members only. All members can register for events by pressing the CPD Events at the top of the page. Your DHAA member discount will automatically be applied to your event registration and your upcoming events will automatically update after payment.
    
    
• How do I get my CPD certificate?
  • Our CPD certificates are emailed out to members after each event so it is important to make sure your email address is up to date. As our events are run by our amazing teams of hard working volunteers we ask that you be patient and allow up to 2 weeks for these to arrive in your inbox. If you cannot see your certificate in your inbox it is best practice to check your junk mail folder, or head to your DHAA member profile and open your Email Preferences tab. At the bottom of this page you will find all of your DHAA communications which you can download as needed.
