Enamel and dentine remineralisation - the right choice
Patients suffering discoloured lesions such as demineralised "white spots", MIH and fluorosis remains an important issue today.
Changes in the structure of the patient's enamel and dentine are the result of demineralisation processes or as a result of developmental defects. These defects can continue, eventually leading to irreversible damage that requires invasive restorative treatment.
In the initial stages, the demineralisation processes are reversible. Non-cavitated lesions, which can be managed with effective non-invasive treatment will prevent irreversible cavitated lesions while also restoring the tissue mineralisation.
Choosing the appropriate protocol and remineralising agent is key to achieving the best results. Many products claim to have the ability to remineralise or restore dental tissues, but based on their chemical composition, few of them have the ability to interact with living dental tissue of enamel and dentine.
In this webinar, you will learn how to create an effective treatment plan and what kind of compounds have the biomimetic, bioactive and biocompatible properties needed to best treat your patients.
Learning objectives:
- Identify the etiopathogenesis of dental lesions
- Discuss available treatments and different approaches
- Apply non-invasive highly effective treatment
